The video was shot in Scotland in February. Eventually the filming turned into a snowball fight between the band and the crew, as seen at the end of the video. Worth mentioning is the polar bear costume containing Cure's bodyguard at the time Bruno Brunning.
Interestingly, the extended remix of the song had an accompanying video which was only shown a few times on TV. Additional footage was used, as well as a layered, slow-motion, almost "glittering" effect applied to the image. It is unfortunate that this unique version of the video, as seen in the shots below, did not make it onto either Picture Show or Galore.
