The Cure as midgets in sunglasses. Robert Smith told Tim Pope he wanted the band to appear on the video as a lowdown funky soul band, which Pope translated into "black and white dwarves". Pope later revealed that he was attempting to bring Robert down-to-size as a sex symbol. The band also dances with life-size puppets of themselves.
A 12" remix version of the video was made featuring additional saliva shots (!) and
different angles footage.
