The Hanging Garden was to be the last video the Cure would make before beginning their long-term collaboration with Tim Pope.
Surrounded by statues, the band is seen in trenchcoats, heavy makeup, Japanese influenced masks, and animal pelt (for Lol !). It was filmed on location on the bank
of the River Thames at York House in Richmond, Surrey, UK.
An attempt for some humor was made with
a poorly animated, stuffed creature moving silently across the screen...
