1990 / Director: Tim Pope The 1990 "Closer" mix of Close To Me was the continuation of the storyline from the original 1985 video. It picks up where the other leaves off with the wardrobe tumbling into the sea. Porl is still playing the "musical comb" amongst other references to the first video. The Cures swim out into the water, miming the song surrounded by a strange octopus and other creepy sea-creatures portrayed by latex-covered "Cure family" members (Bruno Brunning...).
