| Secret concert given under the name "Five Imaginary Boys" in a small venue. Robert Smith explained that they wanted to confront an audience before playing the Great British Week-end Festival. The band played 4 news songs, most of them being quite different from the definitive versions that would come out on the Wish album. A Forest included a very long intro and the 4 last lines of The Walk were sung by someone from the audience to whom Robert Smith gave the microphone ! |

| Some songs were played twice because the band wasn't satisfied with first versions as the show was especially taped for MTV Unplugged. The audience was mainly the band's friends and relatives and MTV employees. Robert sang a lot of the songs in a slightly different way. There was some humour as well as the keyboards were replaced by xylophone, piano-toy, kazoos,...and even castanets ! Embarassingly, Robert announced The Blood as being from The Top album ! "Time Has Told Me" was a cover from Nick Drake. Unfortunately, the song wasn't shown on TV and no complete recording surfaced from that performance. |
