The soundcheck took place the previous day. The stage and the audience were separated by some pond. Weird, wasn't it ? Which made Robert sang "Let's go fishing" on Let's Go To Bed, miming the gesture over the pond.

He also told one of his jokes (this time, the one where a cheese and a sandwich enter a pub and the bartender says 'sorry we don't serve food here'). A Forest had an extended ending, Boris kicking the drums again. There were few improvised lyrics on Close To Me and lots on Faith.

Robert Smith also asked the audience where the band should play, giving choices between some venues, the majority of people cheering the choice of the Town and Country Club (where the Cure will secretly play five months later!). He also dedicated Faith to "everyone else that played today, Lush, James and All About Eve".
