Faith, Lausanne
Faith, Colmar

Faith, Lyon
Faith, Grenoble
Faith, Arles
Faith, Lisboa

02nd
Bari, Stadio Fiera del Levante
First Italian show and the band wouldn't play Homesick and Untitled much there (too many slow songs in the set for local culture ?). Instead, they did A Strange Day and Play For Today that night. Faith's extra lyrics were about throwing oneself of a cliff (maybe Beachy Head in mind) : "if you throw yourself out / I'll love you more than you do".

03rd
Napoli, Cava dei Tirreni
Robert got injured in the afternoon while playing football. Faith's extra lyrics refered to a cliff over the sea again : "if you walk out there / you'll see everything / everything in the world / all it takes is just one step".

04th
Roma, Palaeur
A Forest's intro got extended, maybe because the guitar sounded quite strange. Homesick and Untitled were played for first and last time in Italy. But most important fact was Faith which was dedicated to the victims of the repression who died the same day in the Tian An Men plaza, in China. Quite an intense night as everyone was just in shock. Robert Smith urged the audience to not forget at the end of the show.

06th
Prato, Stadio del Lungo Bisenzio

The following joke was told on stage : "A man goes to the doctor and says : 'Doctor, my brother thinks he's a orange', and the doctor says: 'Where is he?' and the man says 'It's here in my pocket"...

07th
Citadella, Campo Marte
A technical problem led A Forest's intro to be played on acoustic guitar (and chords were added, while being at it) ! Faith's extra lyrics seemed to be about the impossibility to communicate : "make it two shakes for no / and three shakes for yes / make it just one shake for I don't know".

08th
Milano, Arena Civica
Unusual intro on A Forest with Roger playing a lower F when the other notes were in the normal octave. Maybe some problem (broken key after a mistake on The Walk ?). Faith's included a lot of improvised lyrics that night meaning not many bass VI solos... and was the longest version of the tour : 17 minutes !

09th
Torino, Palasport
Robert announced the town they were playing in for "the bootlegs coming out, you're gonna place it right, this is Turin." ! Just Like Heaven was dedicated to a certain "Jimmy" (Brian Olsen ? -in charge of the sound on stage).

11th
Lausanne, Patinoire de Malley
A verse from The Holy Hour was sung before playing Boys Don't Cry. Faith's extra lyrics refered to relationship difficulties : "hard is the way that you sometimes say 'we' / like : we'll do this - we'll do that" before concluding "you are the only pairs of eyes / in the whole world / I want to be seen through".

12th
Colmar, Parc des Expositions
Some songs were introduced in French. Robert also wondered how he could translate the word "homesick" in French and went for something like "maladie maison" which didn't make sense. The band started to play a bit of Lovecats in the middle of the extended part of Why Can't I Be You ?

13th
Lyon, Palais des Sports
Most remarkable fact of the evening was the "Man thinks he's orange" joke being told to the audience in French ! Approximative but understandable. Good effort.

14th
Grenoble, Le Summum
The first radically different show of the tour with Piggy In The Mirror, M, All Cats Are Grey, Figurehead, Catch. That was probably because Lyon (the previous town) isn't that far, so lots of people actually attended both shows. During A Forest's guitar solo, Boris changed the beat of the song (definitely lots of different things that night !). Robert Smith also asked the audience about French grammar, "is it masculine or feminine, is it le chanson or la chanson ?". The answer is "la".

16th
Fréjus, les Arènes
A Forest's ending was extended as the drums kicked back. Robert forgot some lyrics in the middle of Faith and had to improvise that part too. He also admitted he's forgotten how to speak French because he drank too much. Faith's extra lyrics included a few lines from Just One Kiss.

17th
Arles, les Arènes
Some lyrics from 10.15 Saturday Night and Killing an Arab were sung during the Why Can't I Be You? extended part. Robert Smith also introduced most of the songs in French and also apologise that "the end of A Forest was a little bit dodgy" because the smoke machine could be heard.

21st
Barcelona, Velodromo Valle Hebron
Faith was introduced by telling a long story of a child asking to his grandfather "when you die, is it like being on a ship that pulls away everything you love and it's called Farewell Summer ?". To which the grandfather couldn't reply a word. The extra lyrics of the song merged astronomy ("come out with me to look at the stars like we used to") and childhood.

23rd
Valencia, Plaza de Toros
A bit of a funny night with Robert making up Spanish words or confusing Italian with Spanish ("Bambino"). On the numerous announcements (in English), he concluded with resignation : "Noone understands me... much". That show was also special for the extended version of Lullaby the group tried for the very first time. It sounded like a joke between fellow members to surprise Robert Smith actually : after first verse, the song evolved into a weird version (with predominant keys and additional percussions) and the Cure's singer wouldn't know which lines to sing afterwards.

25th
San Sebastian, Velodromo Anoeta
Let's Go To Bed's intro was a little bit extended. Actually, Robert Smith didn't start singing, he was busy taking a black scarf from somebody in the front rows ! And he put it around his head (1984 style) for the rest of the encore. A microphone on the drums also fell on the floor, making a huge noise before playing The Walk. Faith's extra lyrics were mainly lines from 2 Late.

28th
Lisboa, Estadio Jose Alvalade
First coming to Portugal. To gain some time before Last Dance, Robert told again the joke about the man who thinks he's an orange. He also promised later in the evening he would try to say something in Portuguese. That happened on the last encore, but just one word he could remember.

30th
Madrid, Rockodromo
Noticable effort to speak a bit of Spanish contrary to the previous days ("La proxima se llama" or "Gracias", "Hasta luego"). Guitar notes were added on A Forest's intro. Faith didn't have many extra lines, that night. Lovesong was finally played for the first time of the tour.
