JUNE

21st

Paris, Place de la République
Free concert in the streets of Paris as it was the "Fête de la Musique" day. An event which allows musicians, professional or not, to play anywhere in the street in France to celebrate music. That night was also the first show Perry did as a member of the Cure.

23rd
Glastonbury, Festival
Basic setlist minus Boys Don't Cry. Robert messed up Catch's guitar solo. Unfortunately the mood got very serious as some people were crushed in the audience. Fascination Street was interrupted to allow an helicopter to take an injured girl from the crowd. Pretty difficult not feeling concerned and sensitive about such things. Robert also announced a football match score from the World Cup ("Cameroon 2 - Columbia 1") for those who were interested.

30th

Roskilde, Pladsen Festival
Classic setlist but one encore only. Probably a matter of time allowed. The band ended the concert with a Why Can't I Be You/Never Enough medley.

JULY
05th

Innsbruck, Berg Isel Stadion
Some of the 6-string bass solos on The Same Deep Water As You were improvised. Not bad at all. Primary had a different intro as well. The group didn't play Lament that night, but they tried another rare song, In Your House, on the last encore.

06th
Leysin, Rock Festival
Due to the delay in the festival schedule, the sound was cut at the very beginning of 10.15 Saturday Night ! Just like the old days when the Cure weren't famous. The audience was protesting and everything was finally put back on, time for the group to finish angrily with Killing An Arab. Lament was dropped from the set again, in fact they wouldn't play that song for the few remaining dates.

07th
Torhout, Festival
Robert Smith had to ask for the ambiant music between the bands to be stopped for them to start the concert : "we're on stage now". Funny beginning. Just Like Heaven was dedicated to Bob Dylan, on the same bill, who agreed to play before the group for Robert to be able to catch the World Cup football matches on TV. The concert included a single encore (the pop singles one) and medley the end of Why Can't I Be You ? to Never Enough again.

08th
Werchter, Festival
Last concert for a while. Weird beginning on Shake Dog Shake (alternate guitar chords). There were also some slightly different lyrics on Lullaby such as "the spiderman is eating my brain tonight". Charlotte Sometimes replaced Dressing Up in the set that night and the band added In Your House to the last encore and ended the show with Killing An Arab (no Never Enough).
