JULY

18th
Zeebrugge, Axion Beach Festival
A pretty short concert. The encore was just 10:15 and Killing An Arab. Untitled was played at the end of the main set though. And Torture appeared right after Shake Dog Shake but the group wouldn't try that song again.

19th
Wiesen, Forestglade Festival
Pretty good energy. The whole show was broadcast on the radio. Robert Smith announced Kyoto Song in German and realised laughing that he was "in the wrong country". Tonight's rarity was Prayers For Rain (added after From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea).

23rd
Nîmes, Arênes
Pretty flat concert. Disintegration included a guitar part with lots of wah wah effect (tried by Robert). Weird and not great to be honest. The unique encore consisted in Trust, Boys Don't Cry and A Forest.

24th
Cernobbio, Villa Erba
An ok concert but slow. The group added the rare If Only Tonight We Could Sleep & Trust to the basic encore.

25th
Lyon, Théâtre de Fourvières
A beautiful setting -an old Roman amphitheatre- but the most bizarre and disappointing concert of the summer. Robert was extremely drunk on stage, forgetting a lot of lyrics (ie messing up). The rarities were Like Cockatoos, Push, The Figurehead, Treasure. Maybe that was the ultimate Cure concert to be drunk at ? The atmosphere was supposed to be good somehow. Robert also congratulated France for its victory at the football World Cup before adding "just wait four years...". The second encore was just a Forest whose ending was extended and improvised to give something special to the crowd.

26th
Rothenburg, Taubertal Festival
Basic concert with A Strange Day. It was filmed and part of it aired on German TV.


AUGUST

07th
Odemira, Sudoest Festival
Basic set list with the addition of A Forest which included different guitar bits during its intro. Robert also added improvised lines at the end of Wrong Number.

08th
La Coruña, Riazor Beach Festival
Trust was played again and the show included two encores with The Figurehead and Faith (a premiere that year). The performance overall was a bit slow but the setting was great again.

14th
Dresden, Junge Garde
Trust, If Ony Tonight We Could Sleep, The Figurehead (with extra lines) and maybe the most interesting moment of the entire summer : Forever. That track actually came as a surprise to half of the band on stage.

15th
Hildesheim, Zillo Festival
Initially Robert picked up rare old songs when deciding of the setlist in the afternoon (to please the many "goths" in the audience). But only Cold survived to the evening concert. Some lyrics were improvised on Disintegration.

21st
Sierre, Gampel Festival
Basic set list with the addition of Treasure after One Hundred Years.

22nd
Köln, Bizarre Festival
Pretty average show due to Robert Smith being under the weather or worse. The show was filmed and aired on German TV. Disintegration was quite a painful version. Untitled included a verse from Watching Me Fall lyrics (already written).

23rd
Brno, Sun Festival
Last show of the summer. It was slightly longer than the others : Trust,If Only Tonight We Could Sleep, Like Cockatoos, Prayer For Rain...
