JULY
03rd
Athens, Shockwave Festival
First concert of the summer and as pointed out by Robert, not a greatest
hits kind of show : The Figurehead, The Drowning Man... They even finished
with Pornography and Disintegration instead of the planned Three Imaginary
Boys, M, Play For Today.
05th
Frauenfeld, Ministry of Rock Festival
Lovesong and Torture on that night's setlist. The band also finally played
the two cover versions they were learning during the past months : Don't
Believe A Word and The Faith Healer.
06th
Conegliano, Campo Fiera
Massive rain shower. The group had to interrupt the concert after a few
songs. But they came back once all technical problems were fixed and despite
the stage being flooded. A great night.
11th
Arvika, Festival
Shorter concert. Probably a tight festival schedule. Tonight's rarities
were The Last Day Of Summer and A Strange Day. That last track wouldn't
played anywhere else.
13th
Hahn, Zillo Festival
Quite a dark setlist to please the "grufties". Siamese Twins was
introduced as being one of their "top ten around the world", before
adding : "Just not this world". They also tried Charlotte Sometimes
for the first time at the end of the concert.
14th
Glauchau, Woodstage Festival
A completely different set (to complement the previous night as many fans
went to both German festivals). Cut Here, The Last Day Of Summer... A Forest's
ending got very extended with guitar solos for the first time in years.
20th
Carhaix, Festival des Vieilles
Charrues
Robert Smith started the show on his own singing Seventeen Seconds. Probably
to remember when the band came to Brittany in 1980. Cut Here was played
again and the set list was a mix between dark and pop songs.
23rd
Roma, Stadio Olympico
Very long concert (150 minutes -three encores) and Robert's favorite show
of the summer. Faith included extra lyrics and ended a
cappella : "There's nothing left / But you and us".
25th
Nyon, Paleo Festival
Many of the pop singles were played that night. The show was filmed and
also webcast online.
27th
London, Hyde Park
Also on the bill were the Cranes and Mogwai. Ice cream was free on the site.
31st
Budapest, Sziget Festival
The band performed under a light rain. But nothing close to the
Italian concert three weeks before. Another favorite night for Robert Smith.
AUGUST
02nd
Benicassim, Festival
Almost the same setlist as the previous concert (Lovesong was dropped).
These last shows were probably too much for the group who were already thinking
about future commitments.
04th
Odemira, Sudoest Festival
Exactly the same set list as in Budapest. They ended the tour on an automatic
mode but a good show anyway.
