MARCH
27th
Madrid,
La Riviera
The tour started in Spain with a great show and a very hot audience. "A
fantastic way to start the tour" according to Robert Smith. Lots of
old songs were played on the beginning of the Dream Tour which setlists
"stabilized" a bit after a few shows.
28th
Madrid, La Riviera
The second night offered some rarely played songs : Where The Birds Always Sing, Snakepit, A Strange Day... The band also rehearsed The Loudest Sound during the soundcheck and added the song to the setlist.
29th
Zaragoza, Sala Multiusos
Robert Smith made progress introducing the songs in Spanish (comparing with the previous nights). "Low priority songs" such as Push and A Night Like This were played
during the soundcheck. The group also rehearsed Pornography and would end
up playing the track during the show (including a few different lyrics). Trust was also played for the first time (part of the main set).
31st
Valencia, Velodromo Luis
Piug
More non-repertoire songs were rehearsed during the soundcheck : Friday
I'm In Love, Wrong Number. Tonight's show gave one of the few playings of
Where The Birds Always Sing (replaced by The Loudest Sound after that night basically).
APRIL
01st
Barcelona, Palacio de los Deportes
There Is No
If (sounding a bit under-rehearsed) was added to the setlist. But it would
get better after a while of playing the song. Faith included lots
of improvised lyrics that night (instead of the regular ones).
03rd
Toulouse, Palais Des Sports
The group decided to play the "Faith era" encore again : All Cats
Are Grey, The Drowning Man (with a few improvised lyrics), Faith. It would resurface once in a while from
now on. The show also included If Only Tonight We Could Sleep (not played for a while after that night).
05th
Grenoble, Le Summum
The "Pornography era" encore replaced the Faith one for this second
French concert. The group played The Last Day Of Summer again.
07th
Zurich, Hallenstadion
Shorter concert (two encores -no Faith) and including The Kiss. But a bit of a uninspired show for a large part of the main set. Keyboards problems on Play For Today (wrong settings).
08th
Stuttgart, Schleyerhalle
Another classic setlist including Snakepit and Faith at the end. The Figurehead was rehearsed during the soundcheck. Strangely, that track was put aside after being played every night on the promotional tour in February.
09th
Munchen, Olympiahalle
Different songs again during the soundcheck : A Night Like This, Push, Charlotte
Sometimes, Like Cockatoos... The Last Day Of Summer resurfaced that night. An unusual encore ended the concert : Pornography/Disintegration
(messed up lyrics at the beginning but still a great show). The Drowning Man still had a few different lyrics as well.
11th
Wien, Libro Music Hall
Standard concert with The Last Day Of Summer.
That show aired on the radio. Robert
Smith forgot Disintegration's second verse
so he whispered something else instead, pretty good.
The shows became pretty standard (but quite a high one !) at this point
of the tour. The main differences would be the few rare songs played during the main
set : The Kiss, Siamese Twins, Snakepit...
12th
Prague, Paegas Arena
Standard show with The Last Day Of Summer.
A few lyrics were improvised on Play For Today. Robert also added some lines from 2 Late at the end of Faith. Extra lyrics were sung for the first time of the tour.
14th
Lodz, Sportova
Standard setlist including The Kiss, The Last Day Of Summer, Siamese Twins.
Maybe Someday verses were inverted while Faith didn't include extra lyrics that night.
16th
Berlin, Arena
Standard setlist with Snakepit and Siamese Twins.
The concert was recorded and a large part aired on the German radio. Faith's extra lyrics were just a few lines again (a constant thing on this tour from now on).
17th
Hamburg, Sporthalle
Standard setlist including The Kiss & Siamese Twins. The encores #1 and #2 were inverted. The group came back on with M, Play For Today... Faith's extra lines were about the "need to believe in you".
19th
Rotterdam, Ahoy
Standard show with The Kiss, Snakepit and minus Faith. So, a bit of a shorter concert probably due to tiredness. The two encores were inverted (again), closing the evening on Disintegration.
20th
Lille, Zénith
Standard show including Pictures Of You (not that much played). The audience sang "Happy Birthday" to Robert Smith
(a day in advance) several times in between the songs.
22nd
London, Wembley Arena
Standard concert with The Kiss. Faith included a few lines from 2
Late at the end of the track. The group tried Boys Don't Cry during the soundcheck.
25th
Paris, Zénith
A great night. Cold (a bit shortened), The Figurehead and Boys Don't Cry (introduced by a few notes from In Your House) were played for the first time of the tour. The show also included a track that wasn't played for a while, If Only Tonight We Could Sleep and other tracks like Siamese Twins, Snakepit...
26th
Paris, Zénith
Another great show, this time with the "Faith era" encore and other lesser played tracks : A Strange Day, Where The Birds Always Sing, The Kiss... The band played more tracks for the first of the Dream Tour that night : Shiver And Shake, 10:15 Saturday Night, Killing An Arab.
28th
Oberhausen, Arena
Back to a standard show (with The Kiss) for some reason. Maybe because the concert was recorded and a part of it was broadcast on the radio.
30th
Strasbourg, Hall Rhénus
Another spectacular night with the Cure giving four encores for the first time of the year (End was dropped from the main set to be able to do this). The group
also tried Like Cockatoos on stage that night (usually it was part of the soundchecks).
MAY
02nd
Marseille, Le Dôme
Three encores but certainly not a standard show : If Only Tonight We Could Sleep, The Kiss, Siamese Twins, Cold, A Strange Day, Pornography...
04th
Milano, Assago Fila Forum
Standard show again, missing a bit of passion (the group showed signs of tiredness) but closing the night with great versions of All Cats Are Grey and Faith. The extra lyrics of that last song included the repetitive line "Trouble is..."
06th
Firenze, Palasport
A band's favorite. The group played a four-encore show again along with some of the lesser played tracks : Where The Birds Always Sing, Siamese Twins, Cold, Pornography... and ending on Boys Don't Cry, 10:15, Killing An Arab.
08th
Roma, Palaeur
Last concert in Europe. The biggest surprise was The Same Deep Water
As You (not played before). The show also included 10:15 Saturday Night, Killing An Arab, Faith.
