The single was never released actually (although promotional copies were distributed in Spain and a video was shot). A 12" remix version was also planned featuring flamenco guitarist Raimundo Amador but it was never recorded.



"Polydor in Spain said : wouldn't it be good if The Blood came out as a single and if you had a long version with a Spanish guitarist ? And we said that would be a good idea. So we heard various Spanish guitarists. And then it was left in the hands of Fiction and Chris Parry. And nothing ever happened about it. We're still waiting. It was actually a serious idea but it's just one of those things... Sometimes they happen, sometimes they don't. A lot of it has to do with chance and if we're available at a certain time or in a country at a certain time. I don't remember somewhat what happened... It was a Fiction fuck-up."
